Our egg and sperm donor evaluations are performed by the most experienced, highly educated, and skilled professional team led by Kim Kriesel, a Licensed Professional Counselor certified in Perinatal Mental Health.

Our psychological evaluations are the most comprehensive in the fertility field, meeting worldwide standards. We counsel potential donors on the concerns that they may have involving emotional decisions that may affect them, their family and partner. They are also counseled about expectations that may affect their children or future offspring.

Donors are educated about their ethical and legal rights and asked to consider various scenarios so that they can be well informed about their decision to donate and comfortable with the entire process.

Finally, our psychologist evaluates for current and past psychological adjustment and stability, going back three generations. They are screened with a psychosocial and diagnostic interview and are given reliable and valid psychological tests to rule out a history of major psychiatric disorders and chemical dependency.

Combined with the screening conducted by The World Egg and Sperm Bank’s genetic counseling services, these procedures aim to ensure the most well-adjusted and healthy egg and sperm donors.
