Hot Chocolate Bombs
WHAT YOU NEED
- Chocolate
- Hot cocoa mix
- Peppermint Candies
- Half circle baking mold
- Marshmallows
INSTRUCTIONS
- Melt the chocolate. This can easily be done with a microwave. Heat until smooth.
- Prepare the molds. Using the melted chocolate and a spoon or pastry brush, coat the sides and edges of the molds. Put the molds in the freezer for a good 5-10 minutes, or until set. Then, carefully push the chocolate out of the mold from the bottom.
- Melt the edges. Using a microwave safe plate, heat until it is just hot enough to melt the chocolate (about 1 minute). Taking the molded chocolate place it on the the warm plate for a few seconds, just to melt the edge.
- Fill. This is the real fun part! Add 1 tablespoon of hot cocoa powder and any other add-ins you want like marshmallows, or peppermint candy, to half of the spheres. Using the warm plate, melt the edge of an empty half sphere and connect the two together to seal it.
- Enjoy! Plop one of these into a nice warm cup of milk to make the perfect cup of cocoa!
