HIDDEN FIGURES

In honor of International Women’s Day (March 8th), we are highlighting the incredible true story of Katherine Johnson, Dorthy Vaughn, and Mary Jackson. These 3 brilliant women were the brains behind NASA’s operation to launch John Glenn into orbit. This mission successfully revived the nation’s confidence and turned around the space race. Not only did these women successfully get a man into space, but they did so while battling deep-rooted racism and sexism.

Spring Break At Home

Spring Break is notorious for being a week full of partying, letting loose, and finally getting to relax after midterms. However, last March thousands of students returned home eager to celebrate their well-deserved week off, only to have the world completely crumble around them. It is now a whole year later and much has changed in the world, but one thing remains: we are in a world-wide pandemic.

Your plans for Spring Break 2021 might be looking bleak right about now. Here are The World Egg Bank’s suggestions for celebrating Spring Break safely:

  • PAMPER YOURSELF WITH A DIY SPA.
  • ESCAPE INTO A GOOD BOOK.
  • OR ESCAPE INTO A TV NEW SERIES, IF THAT’S MORE YOURTHING.
  • GET YOUR CLEAN ON.
  • EMBRACE YOUR CREATIVE SIDE.
  • RECONNECT WITH NATURE.
  • CONQUER A NEW SKILL.

Spring Break 2021 can be anything you want it to be. The possibilities are endless. No matter how you choose to celebrate your week off, please be safe and follow your state’s COVID-19 mandates. Read more about how to celebrate at home on our blog.

Horoscope: PICSES

Pisces, you often feel many different emotions about a single item in your life, especially when something unexpected and new comes your way. This may have a tendency to make you step back and think when others may already be jumping in headfirst. You don’t allow these early adopters to upset you, though. You are able to truly empathize with people, especially with those who are in need, making you a willing and able donor. Not only are you able to understand the physical need centered around donation, but you are able to understand the emotional need of those who benefit from donation. This type of high-level power will make you stand out to many along your journey.
