Those looking for donor eggs/embryos
- Your chosen donor has already been screened and her eggs retrieved and frozen in the bank. You can obtain 6 premium frozen eggs, and you can obtain additional premium eggs at a discounted rate.
- The World Egg and Sperm Bank offers several programs if you are looking to reduce cost (Baby Bundle Discount)
- Once you select an egg donor, we begin a fresh cycle consisting of screening and egg retrieval. Once we have a cohort of 6 fresh eggs, we will fertilize them using donor sperm selected from The World Egg and Sperm Bank or by using your partner’s sperm or donor sperm you ship to us. Once the donor eggs are fertilized, the resulting embryos will be vitrified and shipped to your clinic for use in your fertility plan.
- Once you select an egg donor that already has eggs frozen in the bank, we thaw and fertilize the eggs using either your partner’s sperm, donor sperm you ship to us, or donor sperm from The World Egg and Sperm Bank. Once the donor eggs are fertilized, the resulting embryos will be vitrified and shipped to your clinic for use in your fertility plan.
Those looking for donor sperm

Our full roster of more than 500 donors is FREE to view on the “Find A Donor” page. There you can browse a variety of characteristics to find the right match for you, including physical characteristics, blood type, medical history, and interests, among other features.
Most future parents look for a donor who is generally a good physical match to their overall family profile, whether they’re looking for a blood match, the same ethnicity, hair color, or a good match for any possible recessive genetic health risks.
Your doctor may wish to review your donor’s information prior to your final selection. We can assist you with narrowing down your options by providing further medical and retrieval information on a selected donor. Contact us at Recipients@twesb.com if you need further assistance with your choice!
Donor Eggs: If you are selecting Premium Banked Donor eggs (notated with a snowflake icon), shipment can vary. If you select a donor that does not yet have banked eggs, it may take anywhere from 2-4 months to complete the retrieval and shipment process. We recommend not scheduling your procedures until after the eggs have arrived at your clinic.
Donor Sperm: Sperm vials can be shipped immediately after they have been released from our six months quarantine and retesting period.
Yes, blood type is listed on every donor’s full profile. In order to view the donor’s full profile, you will need to complete our short online registration form.
With fresh eggs, the donor will be preparing them with our egg bank’s help, while you’re preparing your body to accept them as fertilized embryos. Once those eggs are retrieved, your doctor will attempt to fertilize them, and a few days later the embryo will be transferred into your uterus.
With frozen eggs, the donor eggs will be retrieved and ready on our roster, before you even decide on that donor. At a time of your choosing, the eggs are shipped within days to your doctor, where they will be thawed and fertilized.
Most cohorts contain 6 eggs. Some of our options also include the choice to obtain additional premium frozen eggs at a reduced cost.
Pregnancy rates for fresh vs. frozen eggs are very similar. For more information, please reach out to us!

The World Egg and Sperm Bank utilizes North American-only donors along with the highest quality control standards and record-keeping practices that exceed US and international governmental regulations and oversight organizations. Gametes from foreign countries with developing economies are not directly audited by any U.S., U.K., Australian or Canadian government agencies.
